Why Andy’s wants clemency:

Post Release Plans: To spend time with my three children who I love and badly miss.  When I was a free man, I spent every weekend and most nights being around them, being a loving father who provided the things they needed to ensure their growth into the adult stage of life.  They;re the apples of my eye.  I owned my own business, so I worked many hours, but when it came time for fun with the family, we traveled, fished, and sailed, and used to go diving off the coast of Florida.  I long for those times again. Clemency would mean the world to me and I will never engage in illicit activity again. Freedom is a precious commodity most take for granted.  Never again.

To the Solomon Islands.  I love to sail and explore new places and meet new people.

What do you most want people to understand about being incarcerated that you don’t think they understand?
That you can actually be sentenced to life in prison for a nonviolent marijuana conspiracy, and the government attorney does not have to have any actual evidence to convict you.  All he needs is for other people to say you did it.  As a prisoner sentenced to life, you will be housed in a maximum security prison with gang bangers killing each other and all kinds of other ugly prison politics.
