Unfortunately, we are not taking any cases at this time, nor in the foreseeable future. If anyone is soliciting you to hire them, and claim they work (or have worked) for the CAN-DO Foundation, it is not true.  There are a lot of scammers who are posing as clemency brokers, so please be careful, especially if people are charging money yet they don’t have a website, belong to a legit law firm, or work for a non-profit that can establish they have extensive experience in the clemency space.  We have reviewed many clemency petitions that do more damage to the applicant, than good. Do your due diligence and before paying for services, ask for referrals from people who have come home due to the individual or organization that claims they can assist you or your loved one.

If you know someone in prison who needs to file a clemency petition, they can ask their case manager for a clemency petition that can be downloaded from the Office of the Pardon Attorney website.
